1873 His wife was formerly Carrie Hardin They were mar-
ried Jan 7 1897 and moved to Oklahoma in 1909 They have a fine
family of five children two boys and three girls Frank handed us

to Weatherford Saturday morning
where she will attend Normal

boys are practicing every evening It
will only be a short time until the sea-
son will open Every one will get the
fever and some close games will be

Mrs H H Kuper returned home last
Tuesday from Arkansas City where she
baa been in the sanitarium for three
weeks Her many friends will be glad
to know that her health is much im-
proved Harry ' Reed living east of town
shipped to Oklahoma City last Monday
85 bead of hogs that averaged 251 lbs
each and brought him 43-80 per hun-
dred Mr Reed is feeding two cars of
fine hogs yet
J W Lawton editor of the Arapaho
Bee was in town Saturday shaking
hands with his many friends Mr
Lawton has been in the newspaper
business ' twenty-three years' and says
he likes to get out and get the fresh
air and sunshine
Last Thursday while "strolling
around town our attention was called
to a wagon containing two bales of cot-
ton As there is not mnch cotton rais-
ed around Thomas there is not much
coming in In ’ fact we think the two
bales Thursday were the only ones in
town this winter

Ed and John Mosburg are visiting in
Cloud county Kansas
The neighbors gathered last Thurs-
day to surprise Miss Katie Zweifel it
being her birthday There were about
30 guests AU brought well filled bas-
kets and two long tables were loaded
with the best of every thing The day
was enjoyed by all present Miss
Zweifel was the recipient of some nice
presents All departed wishing Miss
Zweifel many more happy birthdays

The colored ministrels were witness-
ed by a large and appreciative audience
here last Tuesday evening - It is very
seldom we get to see as good a minstrel
show as this one except in the larger
dtiee The darkies were right there
both in singing and dancing and were
enoored to almost every number The
show carries a fine brass band which
