Taken to Mercy hospital were the driver, Delano Hubert Smith, 19, a sailor from Mustang; Cathleen Jane Gallagher, 18, of 3805 NW 14, Logan Ellis Dunbar, 21, Mustang, and Barbara Ann Goodner, 19, of 4717 NW 11. Most seriously injured was Miss Gallagher, who was riding in the front seat of the convertible. She suffered possible fractures of her jaw and left leg and a head injury. Officers J. W. Rankin and R. D. Brokaw said Dunbar was thrown from the back into the front seat and his head struck the windshield when the car smashed into the ditch. He received severe head cuts. Smith and Miss Goodner both suffered minor bruises."
