Photograph taken for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "James P. Merryman, driver of the car at left. A Choctaw man and a high school senior were killed Tuesday night in a two-car crash on U. S. 62, half a mile east of Hiwassee Road. In another two vehicle collision, a 79-year-old woman was fatally hurt about 1 a.m. today in Bryan County. the dead: RAYMOND B. WHISENANT, 30. JAMES P. MERRYMAN, 17. DOLLIE V> McCALIB 79, Hendrix. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Tropper MIke Duggan said Whisenant was dead on arrived at a Midwest City hospital with head and throat injuries. The Merryman youth died en route from Midwest City Memorial Hospital to Mercy Hospital. He was being transferred to Oklahoma City for surgery. Duggan said Whisenant was making a left turn in front of Merryman,s auto when the head-on collision occurred."
