THE UNITED FUND campaign was created as
a means of putting all fund raising activities
together, and now may be the time for a new
united effort as a means of cutting down on the
number of times the public is asked to contribute
to charity.
There is no way of knowing exactly how many
fund raising drives are now in progress, but from
January 1 until today, there has been at least nine
campaigns started or in some stage of completion
SURELY EVERY fund raising project stands
for the betterment of some particular cause, but
there is no need for the public to be subjected to so
many campaigns, all going on at various times of
the year, when one united effort would be the
logical way to raise such funds
it has come to the point where people cannot
enjoy time at home without someone knocking on
the door seeking a contribution to some worthy
cause

brighten an Interior A light natural aluminum
color is used on the exterior's two sunniest sides to
reflect heat in the summer, maintaining lower
interior temperatures The other two exposures,
which face winter winds, are dark gray to absorb
warmth during the cold season
Other award winners feature rows of roof
Installed solar energy collectors with underground
construction taking advantage of the earth’s
natural insulating qualities
IT'S A NEW look for tomorrow s buildings which
might well be called energetic architecture
since not only the long list of fund raising projects
send solicitors, but also every type of progrmfor
special events, some churches and nurberous
others seeking money for their pet projects come
calling at business offices
it has been proven many times that the best way
to raise funds for charity is through a combined or
united appeal, where one effort does if all for all
types of charity.
INDIVIDUALS and businesses have grown
weary of the repeated fund raising events that
seem to never end, and for the future of such
causes, surely now is a good time to once again
seek a true united fund raising effort in Jackson
County.
If united methods are not found, then there is no
doubt that the day will come when restrictions will
be created to cut down on the repeated and year
long fund raising efforts that seem to be going on in
our area
