TROUBLE ALWAYS COMES

certainly the case at the Farm-
ers Co-Op Elevator last Sunday
night when the harvest was in
full swing
First trouble came when the
truck lift in the big elevator
broke While hoisting a 400 bu
load of wheat Early Monday
morning Erwin Bollenbach was
sent to Salina Kansas by plane
to bring back the part needed
but on his return it was dis-
covered that the part would not
fit
So off to Kingfisher went
manager Francis Schaefer to
try and get the part tooled for
use and during his absence the
scales went haywire Luckily G
IL Phelps former manager was
riearby and he got word to Ok-
lahoma City and Workmen ar-
rived to get the scales back
order in four hours
Meanwhile the seldom used
elevator west of the tracks Was
put into use and weighing was
done there until the scales were
repaired across the tracks
All this happening ill the rush
of harvest will give manager
Schroeder something to talk a-
bout in the years to come when
