er's Digest entitled "how We Can
End Our Post Office Mess—Per-
manently" deserves a lot of con-
sideration In the first place it
tells of many services rendered by
our post offices which the average
citizen thinks nothing about
Per instance few folks know of
the postal department's free ser-
vice to the blind In a year the
post office carries more than
20 million pounds of free mail
featuring books pamphlets and
other reading material in raised
letters or on records
The article tells of many other
extra services but best of all some
very practical suggestions are of-
fered for getting rid of our big
postal defivit The article was writ-
