all elected the only race which aroused spec-
ial interest being that for Sheriff— Mr Young
leading the Democrats and Mr Scott the So-
cialists’ This rcontest was hotly waged and
considerable anxiety was man fested by the par-
tisans of all partys Mr Young wen by a fair
margin but nothing like the usual and regular
Democratic majorities The remainder of the
ticket received the normal parly vote
