We believe that we should focus the home economics pr.-
,Tram on interaction and educate for dual role res-)onsibilities;
that wO should identify concepts, review possiolities and ac-
coot the challenge before us so as to cope with the changing
times.
This is the basic philosophy upon which pr noiples the
home economics teacher education program at Langston University

learning process as framework for curriculum out-

2. To pla--n units of work for antici xted student teaching
experiences.
3. Ability to utilize knowledge of management
principles applicable to a teaching situation.
4. Be able to evaluate student accomplishments and
identify degree of achievement.
5. Learn to recognize and develop the characteristics
of an effective teacher.
6. Become familiar with professional practices of
professional people in the field of home economics
-and learn how to deseminate information acquired.
