Can We Afford It?
If Muldrow can install a good county and community are repre-
water plant she has taken one rented at the State Fair as it is the
very important step toward e-
liminatiug typhoid or oilier dis-
ease that is caused from impure
water Aa a proof of this we
call attentiou to the town of
Sallisaw Befote she put in a
system of water there were five
cases of typhoid to where theie
is only one tow In view of this
fact can we affoid to endanger
our lives and the lives of loved
ones in order to reduce our taxes
a few dollars There are a few
people we are sorry to say that
would not stop at anythink if
they could save or make a dollar
or two
Muldrow is afflicted like Job
and for this particular ailmeut
we would prescribe an extra
dose of taxation then she w ould
"come clean” — Muldrow Press
We believe that the able ed-
itor of tbe Press should have
considered again before he look
tbat rap at his home town It
baa been our experience that
human nature is aboutth e same ’
I everywhere and doubtless
there are a few men-in Muld
I row who have nothing to do
but talk They are enough to
make a good' citizen forget
I himself sometimes But those
I same felloWs were busy in Sal
llisaw and Vian before the
water works elections were
held in those good towns In
Vian the proposition carried
unanimously and only three
men voted against the proposi
tion at Sallisaw two or whon
baYe moved awjiy since that
time
Marble City has good pure
water and no typhoid but we
are going to have water works
before long and we believe that
every property owner in the
town will walk up and vote for
the bonds
