The trio was injured when their auto, driven by Mrs. Kelly, collided with a vehicle driven b Aubrey Sherman Handley, 34, of 2414 SW 27. Investigating officer Bill Lewellen said Handley will be given a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way. There is a yield right-of-way sign at the intersection, the officer said, the Kelly auto was hurled into a vacant lot at the Northeast corner of the intersection, and the three women were thrown from the car, apparently through the front door. Both the Kelly women were being X-rayed at Mercy, and attendants said the teenager suffered apparent head and spinal injuries; that Mrs. Kelly has chest and arm injuries, plus severe lacerations about the head and shoulders. It was reported that a bone specialist had been called in to determine Mrs. Crail's injuries."
