of Mrs. Howard Hampton. The
lesson given by Mrs. Or in Ashton
was on Uie use of milk and eggs.
The club voted to donate twenty
dollars to the war victory fund for
the furlough houses in France.
' Mr. and Mrs. C. Schlotterbeck en-
tertained the teachers and officers
of tlie Methodist Sunday School in
their home on Thursday. Mrs.
Roper who had been a delegate to
the Methodist Convention which
had-Just closed in Muskogee gave
an entertaining account of the
.meeting. A dainty luncheon was
served at the close of the program.
; Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Williams
had as their guests at dinner that
week Messrs and Mesdsunes Will
Melton Hiny Ludlow and Mrs. J.
S. Blackmon. Easter decorations
and a bouquet of beautiful carnat-
ions added to Uie charm of the
decorations.

' dance given by some of the younger
members at the country club. The
dance was complimentary to a
group of young folk who were home
from college for their spring vacat-
ion. Among them were Henry
; Woollen Neal Fox. Harold Soun-
ders. Charles HiU Johns and Dewe)

Misses Edw-uia I bard and Sins
iMlnter attended a dance at Tut-
'tic that week. Their escorts were
Eli Phillips and John Baker.
Misses Mary Lee and Josephine
Johnson were spending the week
end in Oklahoma City as guests of
'Miss La ure Dean Thomas. They
! were to be guests of honor at a
'dance and theater party given by
'their hostess.

the week end with their parents in

that week to Miss Willie V. Crum-

j Dr. L. E. Emanuel who had re-
i cently received a captains conunis-
jsion in the medical corps of the
I U. 8. Army had been called to Des
! Moines Iowa. He left that week for
that place where he . was to be
stationed at the base hospital. Mrs.
Emanuel and the -children Jen-
! Itzbeth and Lewis planned to Join
j lilm in Des Moines in a few weeks
j Mr. and Mrs. W. w. Horne had
' returned from a two weeks wedding
? trip. They spent several days in
! Delafield. Wisconsin visiting BUI
Horne and Lucian Erwin who were
students at the military academy
'at that place. They took the boys
:to Chicago with them where the
! party was guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Mart Lou than former residents of
.Grady County. From there the
