the country, as a result of the com-
plete fulfillment of republican pledges,
and the beuelicient application of re-
publican policies. All vocations Bhare
alike in the good times and splendid
conditions of the present, i'he labor-

school system established and fostered
by our territory will in future years lie
come the bulwark of a grand and pros-

reward for their toil, and peace and
contentment cover the entire land.
3. As this is the first organized as-
semblage of the republican party of tins
territory since the deliberately planned
an unprovoked murder of President
McKiuley, we desire to go upon record
as not only condemning the act itself,
but also to express our utter abhorrence
ot the wicked, pernicious, treasonable
doctrine responsible for such unpard-
onable crimes against humanity and
free government. We hold sacred the
memory of William McKinley whose
gentle life and pure character are
among the most lasting and valuable
bequests left the American people. As
an humble, unpretentious, modest
citizen, as a broad-minded patriotic
statesman, as a lover of liberty, as a
cousistant God-fearing Christian, we
honor, love, revere bis memory.
4. We endorse the firm and states
man-like administration of President
Roosevelt, the sterling soldier and pro-
gressive citizen. His stalwart Ameri-
canism and thorough republicanism are
impressing the country to the good of
all the people. In his otIUial acta per
formed since assuming the arduous
duties of his high office, l'reaident
Roosevelt has shown himself to be the
worthy successor of the illustrious pat-
riot and martyr whom he succeeded.
We commend and appreciate the
hig'i patriotism of our army and navy, 1
and condemn the democratic party for j
assailing their integrity and honor. |
Desperate must a party be which for
partisan purpose will attempt to cast
odium and dishonor on our boys in
blue who re valiantly upholding the
tlag of our country. The annals of the
civil war, and the heroic records of out
soldiers and sailors in the Spanish-
American war, place the United States
first iu naval and military power, and
the nation first in international in-
fluence and prestige.
•i. We believe in expansion—that
wherever our tlag of enlightenment
and higher civilization is placed, there
it shall remain for the betterment of
the people over whom it floats.
7. We are lor reciprocity, the Ber
vant of protection, and believe iu ex-
tending it to ('aba, as recommended
by President Roosevelt, when by the
exchange of products no Americn pro-
duct which needB protection is injured.
and noble spirit, would command the
admiration and support of good people
and be a lasting monument to the fu
ture great state of Oklahoma
15. The republican party is the orig-
inator of the natioual policy of free
homesteads. The republican party of
Oklahoma was the originator of this
movement in this territory and
through its delegate in congress se-
cured free homes for all the Oklahoma
opened at the time of the passage of
the bill We pledge to the people of
the Kiowa and Comanche country
since opened to settlement, our earnest
efforts in the acquirement of free
homes for them.
16. We believe the legislature
should take proper steps to accept the
offer of congress to donate Port Supply
reservation to the territory for public
purposes.
17. We favor the organization of
all the remaining Indian reservations
in Oklahoma into county and town
ship organizations, equipping them
with just and orderly government and
euabling their people to sbare in the
work of building the new state.
IK. We advocate equitable laws which
will alike protect the lessees of school
sections and the territory.
1H. The history of the past achieve-
ments of the republican party in our
nation and its record in Oklahoma, is
a sure guarantee that republican su-
premacy will speed our territory in a
career of grandeur, aud build here a
i state proud among the states of the
I'nion. The republican party has put
into effect all the reforms necessary
for the permanent and increasing
prosperity of the country. The per-
capits circulating medium has been
raised to $28.54 of money good the
world over. The auti trust legislation
has been passed and active proceedings
begun against all unlawiul combines.
The republican party has carried out
its pledges to Cuba for independent
government. This country has been
exalted under republican rule to the
highest national power and is respect-
ed and envied by all the nations and
kindoms. Pointing to these accom-
plishments aud the splendid conditions
of the country, we invite all elements,
whatever their former party affiliations
to join the republican party In its
forward march for the exaltation of
ment of the condition of all classes of
its people.
H. \\e believe In the Iree rural de-, . . . , .
