The Medford Patriot
Miss Pearl Willard and William K,
Muller,' both of lamont, were marri-
ed at Enid, Tuesday, August 20th.
The bride Is the only daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Willard who
are prosperous faimers residing 011
their own farm, one of Grant coun-
ty's best, one mile southwest of
Lamont.
The groom grew to manhood in
this vicinity, coming to Grant coun-
ty with his parents, H. R. Muller
and wife at the Opening in 1893.
He Is now engaged in the harness
business in Lamont, owning a fire-
proof cement building and enjoying
prosperous business. Doth the
contracting parties are well known
and highly respected in and near
Lamont.
The bride was dressed in white
messiline silk and the groom in
black broadcloth. In the evening
about 150 invited guests gathered
at the home of the bride's parents
where all enjoyed a sumptous repast
of ce cream and cake. Among the

of last week from Red Rock where
he has had charge of an elevator

Mr. and Mrs. A C. Koelling of

departed Tuesday for Idaho.
H. Satchell assumed his duties
as rural carrier after an absence of
two weeks with his company in the
war maneuvers in Oklahoma.
J. E. Stout and wife and W. J.
Pitts and wife autoed to Caldwell
Sunday to spend the day with Mr. | Medford,
and Mrs. Jos. Dvorak.
M. E. Wilkinson, wife and Vergil
and Mrs. J. E. Heryford attended
the Willard-Muller reception at La-
mont Tuesday night of last week.
Lawerence Wolffram was limping
around for a • few days last week
from the effects of being kicked by
a horse.
Fred Overlander and wife of Ren-
frow autoed down to Deer Creek
last Monday night to transact some
business with M. E. Wilkinson.
The ladies of the Christian church
served ice cream and refreshments
at H. R. Muller's sale Monday' of
last week and netted a neat sum
for their organization.
Commodore Booh, who wats kick-
ed by a horse and had his skull
crushed some two weeks ago is re-
covering nicely and
out as sound as ever.
The young ladies class of the
Christian Church held a lawn social

r. Shaffer is attending the Agri-
cultural college and is returning
preparatory to entering for the fall
term.
Miss Marie Springer has been em-
ployed to teach the primary grades
in the Deer Creek school the com-
ing year.
The school board is having ce-
ment stoops and steps put in at
the school house this week. Lane
Bros, are doing the work.
Mrs. P. S. Springer has moved
into the property vacated by Ray
Eiswick and the latter has moved
into fee Netz property which Harry
Corn vacated.
Miss Cora Mitchell went to New
Mexico Tuesday of last week to
Took after her claim. She will only
be absent about ten days when she
will return and teach the Flower
Valley school.
The Christian Sunday School had
an attendance of 103 last Sunday
and a great deal of enthusiasm is
being manifested in all the classes.

Mrs. E. A. Lane enjoyed a visit
from her brother, J. A. Rickett. of
Dickinson county, Nebraska, last
week. They had not met before in
17 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Goff were called to
Billings Monday of last week to at-
tend the funeral of one of their
grandchildren. While returning their
team ran away and threw them out
but they escaped with only a scare.
The Busy Bee class of young
ladies of the Christian Church serv-
ed-ice cream and cake in the An-
derson building Saturday afternoon
and night from which the realized
about $8.00.
The Deer Creek branch of the
Men's Forward Movement is con-
junction with the Medford branch
will hold an afternoon meeting at
the Numa hall next Sunday at .1:00
p. m. Every man and boy in the
vicinity cordially invited to be pres-
ent.
Miss Lois Harris entertained her
Sunday School Class at the pleasant
farm home of-M. S. Teter, Wednes-
day night of last week. They in-
dulged in outdoor sports and guess-
ing contests and then partook of
Ice cream and cake after which all
departed for home voting Miss Lois
a jolly entertainer of boys.
