The readers of this paper will be
pleased to learn that there is at
least one dreaded disease that sci
ence has been able to cure in all
its stages, and that is Catarrh. Hall's
Catarrh Cure Is the only positive
cure now known to the medical
farternity. Catarrh being a constitu-
tional disease, requires a constitu-
tional treatment. Hall's Catarrh Cure
is taken internally, acting directly
upon the blood and mucous surfaces
of the system, thereby destroying
the foundation of the disease, and
giving the patient strength bu build
ing up the constitution and assist
ing nature in.doing its work. The
proprietors have so much faith in
its curative powers that they offer
One Hundred Dollars for any case
that it fails to cure. Send for list

The manager of the opera house
takes great pleasure in announcing
the opening of the season Wednes-
day, Nov. 1 by Herbert DeGuerre's
great comedy, admitedly one of the
funniest plays ever written. A few
words regarding the most prominent
members of this worthy organization
will give patrons some knowledge of
what they may expect. Mr. DeGuerre
is well and favorably known as lead-
ing man in "A Batchlor's Honey-
moon," "The Old Clothes Man,"
"Romeo and Juliet" and "The Devil"
Miss Thompson, the leading lady,
with the above named plays and
other of the most prominent produc-
tions in the country. She received
lie* schooling under some of the
foremost directors of t he eastern
stock companies, including Sedley
Brown, W. L. Gleason and the Bow-
din Square Stock companies, of Bos-
ton. As Rosalind Malcom in The
Love Pirate, Miss Thompson is add-
ing new laurels to her already en-
vied record. W. E. Ereckson, another
prominent member of this excellent
company, was for years leading man
of Hillerman Stock Co. in Omaha,
one of the most successful com-
panies in the west. His portrayal
of the eccentric old lawyer in The
Love Pirate has received the most
favorable comment of press and pub-
lic. Not less deserving in the work
is Miss Helen Ross, a western ac-
tress, who has been associated with
most of the big stock companies
this side of Chicago. The Love Pi-
rates lives her most successful port-
rayal in the jealous and tyrrannous
Mrs. Mordaunt. The balance of the
company are equally as capable and
have been selected for their adapt-
ability to the parts in which they
partisipate. The manager takes great
pleasure in opening the season with
a company highly reccomended by
house managers, press and public,
and expects one of the largest houses
that has greeted a company. Rem-
ember the date, Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Doors open at 7:30; curtain rises
at 8:30. Admission: Front seats 75
cents, other reserved seats 50 cents,
general admission 35 cents, children
25 cents. Reserved seats at Hutch-
inson's Jewelry store. On sale Tues-
day Oct. 30.
The Love Pirate, by no means a
blood thirsty individual, nor resemb-
ling any form of violence; but on
the contrary he is week and mild.
respectable and even attractive; and
it is because of this latter quality
that all the trouble arises and that
he was the innocent cause, and the
result was — but that is told in
the play by the actors and much
more interesting than could be in
mere words. See and hear all at the
opera house Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Deafness Cannot be Cured.
by local applications, as they can-
not reach the diseased portion of the
ear. There is only one way to cure
deafness, and that is by an inflamed
condition of the mucous lining of the
Eustachian Tube. When this tube is
inflamed you have a rumbling sound
or imperfect hearing, and when it is
entirely closed, deafness is the re-
sult, and unless the inflammation
can be taken out and this tube re-
stored to its normal condition hear-
ing will be destroyed forever; nine
cases out of ten are caused by cat-
arrah, which is nothing but an in-
flamed condition of themucous sur-
faces.
We will give One Hundred Dollars
for any case of Deafness [caused by
catarrah] that can not be cured by
Hall's Catarrh Cure. Send for cir-
culars free. F. J. Cheney & Co.,
