Voters rap hopeful, too
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Republican candidate
President Reagan told to "shut up" last month was
treated fast as harshly by the voters in his bid for a
California congressional seat. Gary Arnold, whose
repeated interruptions of Reagan during a pep talk
to 15 GOP candidates Oct. 6 sparked the president's
brusque order, was soundly thrashed by incumbent
Democrat Leon Panetta in Tuesday's election.
Tylenol prober ousted
WASHINGTON (AP) - The man heading the taint-
ed-Tylenol investigation has been ousted by Illinois
voters as attorney general. Tyrone Fahner, the Re-

top law enforcement official to Democratic chal-
lenger Neil Hartigan.
