Rogers county has some good
roads now but should have more.
The town that permits the roads
leading to it get into bad condition
and to remain so, dogins af once to
decline. Unless the arteries are
opened; unless the roads are put in
good condition and kept so the
merchants ara loseiog money. The
number of roads leading to Foyil,
should be increased until every
available section of country that
may be jaade tributary to the com
■erce of this oity is tapped by 1
good road and then every one of
such roads shonlds be kept eon
,itantly in excellent condition for
travel. Soon people for milea
around knowing this would come
here partly on account of rhe ad*
vantages of trading and partly on
account of the convenience of
good roads to travel over In getting

been on the sick list first of the
week and there are no other print-
ers in town we could get no help.

"Has he any friends?" asked the
judge of a prisoner in th/dock.
"No, only a wife," was the mat-
ter-of-fact reply of the witness.
Rather hard on the wife not to be
counted as her husband's friend,
wasn't it?
