Has wire cut on left hind leg. $5 re-1

Cooperton, O. T.
The possibility of a strike of Indian
territory coal miners has not the signifi-
cance to residents of this city it would
have had a month ago. The fact that
Gotebo is a gas burning town places its
people above the annoyance of an
empty coal bin.
A man and boy were passing by a
saloon, the entrance to which was by
two highly attractive doors. "Pa,"
said the boy, "what are them?" "The
gates of hell," replied the man. When
they had reached the corner the young-
ster stopped and said, "Pa, let's go
back and peek in."
Bethany hospital has now one of the
most up-todate operating rooms in the
new country. Everything is most con-
venient for operating and the sanitary
conditions ate the very best. Several
difficult operations have been sucessfully
performed lately which is bringing the
institution favorably before the public.
John R. Atkinson, Rov W. Aldrich,
Henry Newby, W. H. Kuder, George
Pauley and Mr. Thomason took in the
big wolf hunt in the reserve Monday.
They took a fine pack of wolf dogs along
and report a very successful hunt—for
the wolves. The only wolf taken was a
coyote Messrs. Newby and Paulev killed
on the way down.
Even plumbers have their troubles.
The other day a lady called up the gas
company office and complained of a
leak of gas at her residence, the smell
of which was very offensive. A plumber
was sent to remedy the matter. He
carefully examined the pipe above the
floor and found everything in good
shape. He then made an opening in
the foundation and gave a sniff. ''Here's
the leak," he said, "I can smell it,"
and crawled in to find it. But it wasn't
a leak he found, but a polecat.
