Dennis Jones had our jobber run-

per on cards which he presented to
the proprietor of Talala Livery
Barn as a token of good will and
for the advancement of the business
of that enterprise.
New ministers on this charge will,
confer a favor by handing in their
appontraents on their arrival at this
place, or have it done. It is not
our aim to slight any ©ne, and as
the directory card is a free offering,
we look for the ministers or mem-
bers to make the changes in pasters
and time of holding services,
A literary soaiety was organized
at tho Oak drove school house,
near the Elm Grove farm, on Buck
Creek, last Friday eveniug. The
regular meeting nights will be on
Wednesday's of each week. Every
body invited to participate in the ex
ercises. Excellent music, both
vecal and instrumental, will he a
pleasant feature of the entertain-
ments.

long, have it enclosed and ready
for the machinery, which is already
purchased and awaiting orders for
shipment. Mr. Ct rrier, we under-
stand, will manufactur meal and
feed stuff for shipment as well as I
for the home market. This will
create a home market for grain
which will be a great benefit to the !
farmers aud cattle men surrounding '
Talala as they can keep the money

right at their door and as cheap, if
not cheaper, less the freight charges
and worry over delayed shipments.
