Wreck at Watouga
^ Tuesday morning as train No.
731 from Enid to Anadarko via
Geary, was pulling into the
yards at Watonga, it ran into an
open swith, took a siding and
bumped into the rear end of a
string of freight cars. The rear
freight car and the pasenger
engine were battered up consid-
erably and the passengers were
bad y shaken up. The engineer
jumped and leaped squarely into
a whistle post. He was badly
biusied up. Miss Anna Thies-
sen, who lives near Corn post-
office, south of Weatherford,
sustained a broken nose end a
man was considerable brusied
up. Other injuries were slight.
The engine wa^ knocked out of
commission and an engine from
the yar.is here was sent to Wa
tonga to bring the train through.
Boys are -upposed to have oper -
ed the switch Monday'night.
Bullet Through His Foot
Monday night about 9 o'clock
while Expressman Foirest Ma-
jors was loading a revolver in
the express c ffice at the Rock Is-
land depot, the gun was acci-
dent Jy discharged and the bullet
a big soft-nosed 45) passed thru
his foot.
The bullet entered the instep
and ranged downward and
slightly to the right in the left
foot, coming out just back of
the large toe. The wound is
jeiy painful and "Maj" is con-
fined. to his bed, but n<> perman-
ent.!} serious results are antici-
pated.
To Remodel Catholic Church
Father Monnot has received
the plans for the remodeling of
the Catholic church here and
when the woik is completed it
will be one of the handsomest

remodeled and re-arranged and
an ante-room will be built which
will be surmounted by a tall
spire and topped by the cross
