when baseball managers can see

The city election promises to be
a very quiet affair only one
candidate having filed petitions
for nomination for eaoh office.
This seems to indicate that things
are more harmonious now than at
this time last year. It is to be
hoped that this spirit will continue
and the day of disoord is ended.

it rest undisturbed beneath the

It has been proved by exper-
iment that it is possible to dis
infect clothing very satisfactorily
by ironing. Clothing which has
been worn by children affected by
various contagious diseases and
which contained bacteria or pus,
diptheria and the like, was sprink-
led and iomed. It was then
rubbed on plates of gelatine pre-
pared for the oulture of baoteria,
but not a single colony was
developed.
Mrs. L. H. Hanpton of Watonga
visited with her parents Mr. and
Mrs. J. S. Self the first of the
week while Mr. Hampton was
transacting business at the state
capital.
