OU has seven departments that
offer tests to determine if a non-
acadesnically qualified person can
receive credit for “life
experience,” Floyd Teter,
director of admissions, said
Wednesday
The tests are part of the College-
level Examination Program
iCLEPl, a nationally recognized
testing system, said Teter.
“A student taking the C1£P
tests has to meet the requirements
of the department that handles
that particular area,” Teter said.
"There are two types of tests,
the general and the subject," he
said. "The general test is just
what its name implies. The
subject test is directed at a
specific field."
OU departments currently
accepting CLEP-earned credit
are: history, psychology,
sociology, zoology, mathematics,
microbiology and English "All of
