Ardmore Okla June 22— A
Santa Fe track walker named
Anderson was found murdered
a few feet north of the Santa Fe
bridge across the Washita in the
canyon early today by the Pos-
tal Telegraph Co construction
gang which is engaged in re-
pairing and stringing new wires

ently a shotgun as the old mans
body and clothing were riddled
with fine shot Two empty shells
were also found near the body

N Burgess obtained a verdict in
the District court at Ardmore
against the Rock Island railroad
for $555500 damages for in-
juries received on that road at
Provence a small station east of
Ardmore In this accident the
lady received a broken arm and
two broken ribs
The railroad company carried
the case to the Supreme court
where the decision of the lower
court was sustained The judg-
ment with interest now amounts
to $732100 and Mrs Burgess
has received notice that the
company is now willing to pay
off the claim which will be done
in a few days
