on Storm Damage
' Electric service throughout the
entire 4-state area was disrupted
this week as a result of one of the
worst ice storms ever recorded
here
Starting Sunday night a frees-
ing rain rapidly coated trees poles
up-right structures and utility
lines with a thick layer of glass
ice Heavily-loaded tree limbs un-
able to withstand the terrific pres-
sure crashed to earth carrying
light and telephone wires in their
path Heavy layers of ice snapped
other wires and toppled their sup-
porting poles

Lake City Utah is the IMP president of the National Association
of Manufacturers elected by the NAM’s board of directors
"It may seem unusual that a large organization like NAM should
choose as its president a min who heads a small business” Mr Bennett
said after his election “but when you consider that 83 per cent of NAM
members employ fewer than S00 workers then it is not at all strange
The NAM depends upon smaller industrial firms for the bulk of its
membership and the small as well as the large companies depend upon
the NAM for national leadership”

Wallace 25 and David 21 have been serving in Europe as missionaries

putation of a finger on one of his
hands Tuesday night following the
accident q( his home about 6 o’clock
Mr Bull slipped and in falling
struck bis hand on a vase severely
cutting it He was taken to the
Miami Baptist hospial in a Thomas
ambulance where one of his fin-
gers were amputated He was re-
turned to his home following the
operation
