Last Monday night at the meet-
ing of the City Council was pres-
ented a proposition by J. R. Se-
quicliie to put in a telephone sys-
tem in Chelsea provided the coun-
cil wauld grant the franchise. An
ordinance was drafted granting
such a franchise and placed ou first
reading, and will no doubt become
a law in due course of time.
A Telephone exchange in Cliel-
system has been in operation six
months.
Lets boom the telephoue enter-
prise, for such things are what
makes cities boom.
Mr. Scquichie informs us that
he will have the system in opera-
tion inside of ninety days after the
franchise is granted.
