two acts we have no regret*.
News predicted wSf5 wh*

from his hand without a mur-

than two thirds of the senators

that a possible slump in prices

ialfxe. doveroor Haskell still
very much in the lime-light,
being cussed and discussed on
all sides. His administration,
now drawing to a close, has
been "the limit" for unique
and spectacular sitations. He
having been alternately men-
tioned as a fit subject for the
penitentiary and the presiden-
cy, with strong argnment in
favor of ^bth positions and
but little prospect of him fill-
ing either. He will .not go to
the pen-that's a cinch, while
many of us would like to see
him tried out as president We
love him for the enemies he
has made. His acquisition to
the presidedcy would mean a
healthy change, at least, wiih
'"Something doing all the

in your day-book that Haskell
is not a "dead one." He will

will sit up and take notice, as
they have done before. The
writer pleads guilty to being
the original Haskell man, hav-

It is too early, in the, g^u$e, Saturday and
