MAKES 100000 TRACTORS
On February ltth at a m Fordaon
tractor number 100000 left the assent-'
bly line in the Ford son plant at Dear-
born Mich slightly less than two
and one-half years after number one
was completed The Ford interests
are very recent entrants In the ranka
of the tractor manufacturers Henry
Ford having built a tractor of the
steam type before he started work on
hla gas car And incidentally that
tractor and the first car still in very
good running condition and Mr Ford
occasionally demonstrates both to vis-
itors at hla farm la Dearborn Some
15 years ago Mr Ford began work on
what has come to be the Fordaon Thla
tractor waa really a Ford car equipped
with special wheels and included of
course some mechanical changes
Fordaon tractors are now being as-
sembled at a rate of 850 daily at Dear
born 100 at the St Louis assembling
plant and It is estimated that within
a short time the Dea Moines branch
will be in operation There ia also
an assembling plant in Cork Ireland

has just recently fallen in Oklahoma
has been called a “million dollar’' rain
and it ia worth that in actual dollars
and cents to the people of this state

floods stopped-up sewers Practical-
ly all communities throughout the
state were in the midst of a “clean-
up” campaign or had one planned for
the near future so that the rain came
