It is used in a pasture rotation system with a pasture of brown grass and alfalfa and one of midland Bermuda brome grass overseeded with vetch rye. The improvements were made on these pastures with the assistance of the Soil Conservation Service. OK-274-12.

Partnerships were formalized with the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts (OACD), the Oklahoma Historical Society, the Oklahoma State University Oral History Research Program and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
