Discovery by Scientists Has Replaced

Science has found a newer better

Jn perfect health a natural lubricant
keeps the food waste soft and moving
But when constipation exists this nat-

cal authorities have found that the
gentle lubricating action of Kujol most
closely resembles that of Nature's own
lubricant As Nujol is not a laxative
It cannot gripe It Is In no sense a

PREMIER LLOYD GEORGE QUITS
B0NAR LAW IS INVITED TO
FORM A CABINET
i
Presents Hie Resignation To King
George At Binking-
ham Palace
London England— David Lloyd
George resigned as prime minister of
Great Britain He presented his res-
ignation to King George at Bucking-
ham Palace after the unionist caucus
which met at the Carlton club repu-
diated his ministry
This marks the end of the coalition
government— comprised of the liberal
and unionist parties— which came Into
being during the world war It was
officially announced that Lloyd George
has resigned and that the premier had
advised King George to summon Bon-
ar Law and Invite him to form a cab-
inet It Is understood that Bonar Law
during a conference with King George
agreed to form a ministry
Bonar Law was the active leader of
the Unionist party until about a year
ago when his health broke down
Law was he leader of the Conserv-
ative opposition In the house of com-
mons between 1911 and 1915 He was
Lloyd George’s strongest conservative
supporter from the time of the forma-
tion of tjhe coalition In the midst of
the war and until 1921 when Bonar
Law took his physician’s advice and
went into retirement
Faces Hard Problem
It was considered Improbable by
some observers that Bonar Law will
be able to form a ministry because to
be successful he would have to com-
mand a majority In the House of
Commons This would mean that
many Liberals would have to vote In
favor of Bonar Law conservative
In case Bonar Law is unable to
bring the various factious together to
form a ministry It is possible that
King George might summon Lloyd
George to form a new government

y BLAZE
TENAMENT HOUSE SWEPT
BY FIRE STARTING FROM
BABY CARRIAGE
17 YEAR OLD BOY HERO OF FIRE
Many of the Dead are Children Who
Were Found Tucked In Their
Beds by Firemen After Hav-
ing Sufflcated by Smoke
New York N Y — Fourteen persons
most of them children lost their lives
here recently in a fire bplleved by
city officials to be the work of a pyro
maniac The flames swept with mur
derous suddenness from cellar to at-
tic of a five-story brick tenement at
Lexington avenue and 110th street In
the jhickly populated district
The blaze apparently Btarted In a
baby carriage under the stairs In the
lower hall under almost Identical cir-
cumstances as the recent incendiary
fire in an upper west side apartment
house which resulted Jn seven deaths
So quickly did the flames shoot
through the building that a number
of the dead were found in bed burned
or suffocated without the slightest opr
portunlty to escape '
Shortly after 1 o’clock in the morn-
ing City Marshal Joseph Lazarus
while on his way home saw smoke
issuing from the hallway of the build-
ing He ran to the ' next corner and
turned in an alarm When he re-
turned the whole building the ground
floor of which is occupied by stores
was a mass of flames and exit by
stairways was cut off Most of the
persons on the second floor succeeded
in making their way down the firs
escapes but those on the uppar
floors had to -battle through smoke
and flames pouring out of the win-
dows Many Threaten Leap
Several tenants perched on npper
story windows threatened to jump
but were prevailed upon by firemen
to remain until ladders could ' be
raised to take them down One aged
woman disregarded the warning and
leaped from the fourth floor receiving
Injurier which probably will cause her
death
While the firemen were at work
on the second floor and preparing to
fight their way to the third floor the
third floor collapsed but not before
a warning roar had sent the firemen
to safety
' Nearly a score of persons owe their
lives to 17-year-old James O’Donnell
a merchant's helper who w&b eating
at a restauralt In the vicinity when
he heard a woman cry for- help
Running to the street be saw the
woman leaning out of the window on
the Becond floor of the burning tene-
ment with two small children by her
side The young man clambered on
the sill of a store window Jumped
and caught a swinging sign and pull-
ed himself up to the window He led
the three frightened tenants down tbs
fire escape to the street and then ran
back and rescued the woman's 18-months-old
baby who was asleep In a
crib Later he went to the roof ol
an adjoining building and by throw
Ing a board over the alley space made
it possible for a number of tenants
who seemingly had been cut off from
escape to gain the roof terrace In safe
