ISLAND NOW TURNING OUT FINISHED
PRODUCTS: ANOTHER ONE READY SOON
Management Hopes to Have Plant Running at
Full Capacity Within Short Time Is
Making First Grade Kerosene Gas-
oline and Lubricating’ Oil
The Rock Island Refinery located
on the Rock Island track south of
the city made the first run Friday
and ha been turning out a high grade
gasoline lubricating oil and kerosene
ever since
The Rock Island plant has a capa-
city of 1500 barrels daily but has
not yet been run at full capacity
However it is the belief of the men at
the head of the concern that it will
be running at full capacity before
many weeks
This company is financed by Okla-
homa City Duncan and Wichita Falls
capitalists and oil men It is a con-
solidation of the K M A refinery
of Wichita Falls and the Hines Pipe
Line Co of this city and Oklahoma
City
The other refinery which is locat-
ed near the Rock Island is also a
fifteen hundred barrel capacity plant
and should be ready for business with-
in the next three or four weeks

NEAR HENRYETTA BRIGHT
Henryetta Ok May 21 — What
jives evidence of another new oil
pool in Oklahoma is the very en-
couraging conditions found seven
miles east of Henryetta and in
what is known as the Henryetta
district One of the most encour-
aging of these properties is Well
No 2 of the George E Nicholson
Kansas City interest in the north-
west quarter of the northeast
quarter of 5-11-14 which is flow-
ing over the top better than 500
barrels of oil at five feet in the
sand at 1032 feet depth
This is the third producing
property of the Nicholson compa-
ny in this district The same com-
pany recently sent five additional
rigs out to this field and have
two additional drillings in proc-

and good natural-flow wells in the
northwest field has shot its old
well No 1 at 1200 feet and will
continue drilling down to 2236
feet into what is known as the
Howard sand
