And Controlled Exclusively By
Slid Town And Levying And
Collecting An Annual Tax In
Said Town For The Payment Of
The Interest On And Principal
Of Said Bonds: And Relating To
The Necessary Details In The
Matter And Declaring An Em-
ergency WHEREAS It i deemed nec
essary to install and equip an
electric light plant and system
in and for the Town of Leedey
Oklahoma the same to be owner
and controlled exclesively by
said Town: and
WHEREAS There are no
funds in the Town treasury avail
able for such purpose and pow
tr is granted said Town by the
Constitution and laws of Okla
lioma for the issuance of bonds
for such purpose provided the
same be authorized by the quali
tied property taxpaying voters
thereof at an election held for
that purpose now Therefore

BOA R D OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF LEEDEY OKLA
HOMA
SECTION ONE
That the President of Board of
Trustees of the town of Leedey
'alahoma be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to call
special election to be hold in said
Town on the 3rd day of March
CIO for the purpose of submit
l-ngto the qualified property
t ixpaving voters of said town
tiie following proposition:
PROPOSITION
“Shall the town of Leedey
l)ewev Gountj Oklahoma incur
an indebtedness by issuing its
negotiable coupon bonds in the
aggregate principal sum of $15-
OX) to provide funds for the pur-
pise of Installing and equipping
an electric light plant and system
in and lor said town to be own-
ed and controlled exclusively by
said town and levy and collect an
annual tax upon all the taxable
property of said town in addition
to all other taxes sufficient to
pay the interest on said bonds as
it falls due and also to constitute
a sinking fund for the payment of
the principal thereof when due!
said bonds to bear interest at the
rate of six per cent per annum
payable semi-annually and to be-
come due and payable within
twenty five years from their
date
SECTION TWO
That such call for a special
election shall be made by proc-
lamation signed bv the Presi-
dent of Board of Trustees and
attested by the Town clerk of
said Town and shall set forth
the proposition to bo voted upon
the number and location of the
polling places the hours of open
ing and closing the polls and the
names of the officers who shal
conduct said election The re-
turns of said election shall be
made and the results canvassed
as in such cases provided by
law
SECTION THREE
That for the preservation of
thepubhc peace health aiul safe-
ty an emergency is hereby de
dared to exist by reason where-
of this Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect immediately on
and after the day of its passage
and approval and publication

C R Flint that the rules be sus-
pended and the ordinance read
a second time by title The ques-
tion was put to a vote and all
members present voted “Aye”
Thereupon the President declar-
ed the motion carried and the
rules suspended
The Clerk then read the ordin-
ance a second time by title It
was moved by O C Brown and
seconded by C II Flint that the
rules be again suspended and the
ordinance read a third time and
considered section by section
The question was put to a vote
and all members present voted
“Aye” Thereupon the Presi-
dent declared the motion carried
and the rules again suspend-
ed The Clerk then read the ordin-
ance a third time section by sec-
tion and it was moved by C R
Flint and seconded by 0 C
Brown that Sections One and
Two be adopted as read The
question was put to a vote and
all members present voted “Aye
Thereupon the President declar-
ed the motion carried and said
Sections One and Two adopted
as read It was then moved by
C R Flint and seconded by O
O' Brown that Section Three at-
taching the emergency clause to
the Ordinance be adopted as
read The question was put to
a vote and all members present
voted “Aye” Thereupon the
President declared the motion
carried and said Section Three
adopted as read
Thereupon it was moved by
0 C Brown and seconded by C
Flint that the Ordinance as a
whole be adopted as read The
question was put to a vote and all
members present voted ‘Aye”
The President then declared the
motion carried and the Ordin-
ance as a whole adopted as
read
The President then proceeded
in open session to sign and ap-
prove said Ordinance and the
Clerk numbered the same Num-
ber 2t and attached his official
seal and signature thereto
The minutes of the meeting
were then read and appoved On
motion duly made and seconded
the Board adjourned
Ordinance passed and approv-
ed this 3rd day of Februaay 1920
