In Denver the women's vote on
Cap'tol Hill, which is the better

has always been more than
counterbalanced by the ba'lots
of the women of the less respect-

women in politicial conventions

In the light of the experience
of Colorado it is doubtful if
equal suffrage in state and nation-
al elections would be pop liar in
Kansas. The Kansas suffra-o
association announces that it
will present a bill and urge its
passage at the coming session ol
the legislature. In Colorado
there were three women candi-
dates for the legislature this
fall none of whom were elected,
Their party ticket failed to carry
so the defeat cannot be inter-
preted as a token of disfavor to-
ward suffrage. The election,
however showed, as all of "the
elections in Colorado since wo-
man suffrage was granted have
shown- that but few of the bet-
ter element of the women care
to vote. The t .vo main pleas for
giving women the right of the
ballot are that they want it and
that by its possession they will
purify politics. Both of these
arguments have been disproved
}p Colorado. Elections are just
