ANOTHER OIL COMPANY ORGANIZED
Another oil company compos-
ed of Marietta oople has re-
cently been organized and a char-
ter granted under the n ajn e
of Carter Love Oil A Gas Com-
pany The incorporators of the
new company are: W A Thomp-
son J J Howard 8 Westhei
mer Sam Biack and -F B Con-
rad W A Thompson Is the
promoter of the company and
! will also be president of the com
pany when the organization is
'completed The name of the
Carter-Love Oil A Gas Company
jwas chosen from the fact that
the company's acreage is in Car-
ter and Love counties The most
i valuable of their acreage at this
j time is a ten acre lease in 15 4 3
in Carter county which is iff the
heart of production in the Heald-
i ton field and has producing wells
j on every side of it and the new
company will drill this ten acres
! just as soon as srrangements-can
I be completed to do so Besides
- this ten seres they have acreage
near the Life Stake location
4 miles northeast of Mari-
etta and also valuable acreage
adjacent to the Oklatex and the
Pierce-Fordyce locations in the
west part of Love county The
fact that the company has acre-
age in the proven territory makes
it one of the safest investments
of any company ever organized
in Marietta and the fact that the
majority of the incorporators are
successful oil operators and un-
derstand the business thorough-
ly makes their success doubly
assured and no doubt when the
stock is placed on the market it
will be readily disposed of

PROSPECTS GOOD IN SECTION 12
G E Bur ford of Muskogee
was a business visitor here last
Saturday Mr Burford is drill-
ing two oil wells in Love county
one in section 12 6 2 and the
other one in section 30 in the
same township The well in 12
was down to a depth of about 700
feet when Mr Burford was here
and the day before he was here
they had a good showing of heavy
oil and he is highly pleased with
the prospects of bringing in a
paying well at this location The
well in section 30 has just been
started and there is nothing at
this location 'further than the
fact that the formations in the
well ia 12 have been good to lend
encouragement to the well in 30

of this township?
Do you know of one that has
ever contributed a cent toward
our churches or our schools?
Do you know of one that has
ever contributed a cent to the
welfare of the community in any
manner shape or form?
Do you know of one that does
anything but pull money out of
the community — money which
never comes back?
If not why do you continue to
enrich people who never do any-
thing for you or yours sod yet
demand their pound of flesh in
advance?
