office Tuesday night, and swapped

He was a citizen of this vicinity
for years and was one of the most
successful farmers the country
has had. He is doing well in
Kannaa.
Elder Tandy «f the Rabbit
Springs vicinity, was a caller at
the Commercial office Monday.
The Elder has been ill with ma-
laria lately, but that distressing
ailment has not dulled the edge
of his fine optimism nor left a
drop of acidity in the sweetness
of his temperament. This old
earth would lie a veritable "Para-
dise Regained" were all its in-
habitants imbued with the cheer-
ful philosophy possessed by the
good Eider.
If there ever was an institution
that needed a roast, it i« the
freight department of the Frisco.
One local freight train between
Oklahoma City and Chelsea is the
record it insde last week. This
week it is but little better. Such
an outfit should have a good
shaking up. No wonder the gov-
eminent owuership sentiment is
spreading throughout the coun-
try. Such utter disregard of the
rights of the people on the part
of raijroad corporations is what
pushes that sentiment along, and
