The Prints of His Feet
Although it ia nearly two thousand
years since Christ journeyed to and
fro on earth on his Heaven sent mis-
sion and though ages have come and
gone since his sandal-clad feet trod
their weary way among the people
yet we can see if our eyes are not
hidden as plainly as when be walked
the shores of Galilee or turned his
tired steps towards that home in Beth-
eny the print of his feet here today
While it is true that he never phys-
ically walked the streets of London
never wandered in Rhome or" Greece
never put foot in our American cities
or towns yet we cannot erase amid the
rush and clamor our modern civiliza-
tion the print of those beautiful feet
and the touch of those pierced hands
Have ycu not seen them in waste
places where despairing humanity has
almost given up hope but where kind-
ness gentleness and mercy have
sprung up brightening faces teach-
ing love lighting up the dark? If so
you have seen the print of hia feet as
surely as those who journeyed with
him up and down the dusty way of
Balestine --
Have you not seen them in the homes
of the rich where selfishness and greed
and love of power once held away
but where thought for others gener-
osity and humanity have transferred
those riches into the purest gold — the
gold of character truth and honesty
If so you have been where Jesus has
been you have seen the prints of
those blessed feet you have walked
where he has walked
Have you not beheld them where
the beauties of nature surround the
pleasant homes where there is much
to be enjoyed but dullness is upon the
sight of the laborer bowed with toil
hardened by cares gaunt with misery?
The beauty of the “face turned from
the clod” the cleansed cottage the
helpful hand the eyes that see and
the ears that hear testify that Christ
has been there and again you see the
prints of his feet
And you have not seen them in
churches? Also too often in the place
we would most expect to see them we
fnd too little evidence that Jesus has
been there But a consecrated fol-
lower visits a church preaches his
message and we find enemies reunited
gossipping forgotten singers and
speakers consecrating themselves tc
his service old grudges melting away
children coming under the compelling
influence and tired mothers making
their way np to tba bouse of the Lord I
Jesus has been there bis tranquil re-1
storing feet have wandered down
those aisles and we see their prints
clearly distinctly leading the way to
righteousness and to God
And they will come again those
blessed feet Not dull sandaled dusty
weary heavy worn with weight and
sorrow but
Down the minster aisle of splendor
from betwixt the cherubim
Through the wandering throng with
motion strong and fleet
Sounds his victor tread approaching
with a music far and dim—
The music of the coming of his feet
1 If we have se-sn Jesus footprints
and recognized them if we have walk-
ed in them and made it possible for
others to do so with what unspeakable
joy will we listen for the “sounds of
his victor tread” that “music far and
dim” God grant Jthat there will be
for us rejoicing at the “coming of his
feet”— Stolen

The Ryan Band has rapidly forged to
the front and we know that we have
never seen a band progress as this one
has All is to be attributed to the fact
that that Director Ward is a genius in
his work and bIso to the fact ' that all
the boys are enthusiastic supporters
Ryan now has one of the best bands in
Oklahoma At the close of the concert
Homer — ird came forward and in his
affable charming manner thanked the
large craud present for their attendance
