crop some ot the high school boys
were delayed in entering The num-
ber ot pupils enrolled were:

sent from school Monday morning
helping to solicit old clothes to
send to France
W Carl Jefferies prominent
young farmer of the north end of
the county was in town Wednes-
day loking after business
Mr and Mrs P L Huddle left on
Thursday for Oklahoma City where
they will spend several days visit-
ing their son Dr W I Huddle
and wife
Mrs Evelyn Miller of Driftwood
was Initiated Into the astern Stai
by the local chapter on Tuesday
night of this week

her son Roy Sellers one of the
boys from Alfalfa county who Is
now In France that he had been
seriously injured by having an
auto truck run over him and that
lie was at present in the hospital
He stated that one leg was hurt
quite badly and it would take
several months for him to get hack
into service again
