one-half miles west and one mile south

the closest Okfuskee county produc-
tion being only nine miles air line

The well started off rated at a 30
million gasser and soon drilled itself
into an oil gusher This project was
promoted by Kennedy & Harman for-
merly oil operators of Okemah but
late of Okmulgee where they now
make their headquarters and deal ex-
tensively in leases They still how-
ever pin their faith to Okfuskee
county and this section is promised
some intensive development the com-
ing year
Leases are changing hands and are
eagerly sought in the neighborhood of
the new gusher and thq price being
offered is interesting indeed
Harry Stephenson of Okemah who
has 183 acres one and a half miles
northwest of the new well leased his
land recently for $30 an acre with a
drilling contract to be effective in a j he confessed that he had shot Jerry

day and swore out a warrant before

with assault with intent to kill
Miss Redford had one black eye and

stated that Mrs Wilson came to her
house and assaulted her She said that
the gash over her eye had been cut
