TJuder and by virtue of an
Ordinance approved the 9th
day of July 1919 entitled:
“An Ordinance relating to
the calling and holding of an
election in the town of Fargo
Oklahoma for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified
property tax-paying voters
of said town the question of
the issuance of the bonds of
said town in" the sum of
$2600000 for the purpose
of obtaining funds for the
purpose of constructing and
equipping a waterworks and
electric light plant in and
for said town to be owned
and controlled exclusively by
said town and levying and
collecting an annual tax in
said town for the payment of
the interest on and principal
of said bonds: and relating
to the necessary details in
the piatter and declaring an
emergency”
The undersigned as President of
Board of Trustees of said town hereby
calls an election for the 11th day of
August 1919 for the purpose of sub-
mitting to the qualified property tax-
paying: voters of said town the quest-
ion of the ' issuance of bonds of said
town in the sum of Twenty-six
Thousand dollars ($2600000) for
’ the purpose of obtaining funds for the
purpose of constructing and equiping
a Waterworks and Electric Light
Plant in and for said town both to be
owned and controlled exclusively by
said town and levy and collect an
annual tax upon the taxable property

said bonds a it falls due and also to
constitute a sinking fund for the
payment of the principal thereof

ed little girl when she with her parents

Be lit ordained by the
Board f Trustees ’ of the
town of Fargo Oklahoma
SECTION ONE-'
That the President qf Board of
Trustees of the town of Fargo Okla
homa be and he is hereby authorized
and directed to call a special1' election
to be held in said town on the 11th
day of AuguSt 1919 for the purpose
of submitting to the qualified proper-
ty tax-paying voters of said town the
following proposition:
PROPOSITION
“Shall the town of Fargo Ellis
County Oklahoma incur an in
debtedness by issuing its negotiable
cupon bonds in the aggregate prin-
cipal sum of $2600000 to provide
funds for the purpose of construct-
ing and equiping a waterworks and
electric light system in and for said
town to be owned and controlled
exclusively by said town and levy
and collect an annual tax upon all
the taxable property of said town
in addition to all other taxes' suffici-
ent to pay the interest on said
bonds as it falls due and also to
constitute a sinking fund for the
payment of the principal thereof
when due said bonds to bear in
terest at the rate of six per cent
per annum payable semi-annually
and to become due and payable
within 25 years from their date?”
SECTION TWO
That such'Call for a special election
shall be made by proclamation
signed by the President and attested
jy the town clerk of said town and
shall set fourth the proposition to be
voted upon the number and location
of the polling places the hours of
opening And closing the polls and the
names of the officers who shall con-
duct said election ' The returns shall
e made and the results canvassed
as in such cases provided by law
SECTION THREE
That for the preservation of the
public peace health and safety an
emergency is hereby declared to exist
iy reason whereof this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect im-
mediately on and after the day of its
passage and approval and publication

Shattuck Friday to go to Woodward
with her daughter-in-law Mrs John
Elder who was taken there for an
operation
Lloyd Coombs happened to a pain-
ful accident Monday while riding a
horse the saddle turned throwiug him
off spraining the muscels and fractnr-
iug the bone in the right arm
Mrs Luther Boyd received word
Saturday from her husband who has
been doing overseas duty for the past
year that - he had landed in New
York

business at the Court House Monday
and while here called at our Sanctum

John Beeman farmer west of town
was here Monday marketing his pro-
duce Mr Beeman left us the price to

of the county Rolla Sober who is
about 14 years old and weighs about
100 pounds cut 120 acres in five

school District No 98-Mr Pressnell
has a six months term and his school

The Ioland district joins the Redden
District where ' Mr Prcspell taught
the school term of' 1907-08 and also
the 1914-15 term the Ioland District
also joins the Peek District where he
taught the 1916-17 term
