President Wilson has issued a pro-
clamation making Memorial Day
May 30th a day of special prayer for
the nation
In order to properly observe this
day the business men of Jet have co-
operated with the pastors in arrang-
ing for a community memerial service
to be held at 10:30 A M on that day
at the Methodist church’ 1
The stores and other business places
of Jet will close for two hours from
10:00 A M to 12:00 M Everybody
who loves his Nation and wishes to
pray for it is urgently requested to at-
tend this memorial service
The pastors of1 the Churches will
will speak and special music will be

Saline township’s Red Cross
quota in the second call was $1800
This amount had been raised by
Tuesday night and there were still
some of the school district captains
who had not yet reported
