OKFUSKEE CO FAIR
The Okfuskee County Free Fair op-
ened Tuesday with a good attendance

a grade of horses as can be found in
any state of the union

specimens of needle-craft which can-
not be excelled at any place and the

interesting Some of the drawings
give evidence of a high degree of ar-
tistic talent This department is an
indication of the efficient work being
done in the public schools of the coun-
ty and is encouraging to all interested
in the education of the rising genera-
tion -
The domestic department contained
numerous exhibits of almost every-
thing in the line of canned fruit and
vegetables and of articles prepared
for consumption This department
shows that the women of the county
are beginning to consider cooking and
housekeeping as a science and they
have already made great progress in
this line
The agricultural exhibits were a
surprise to everybody as it was the
first opportunity that the producers
of the county have had this year to
know what their neighbors and the
farmers of other neighborhoods were
doing These exhibits included corn
cotton vegetables of almost every va-

BOY KICKED BY MULE
Tuesday the little son of Dave Fun-
denburg who lives a mile north of
town was injured by being kicked by
a mule The boy was spraying the
mule when the animal kicked him in
the stomach It was thought for a
time that he was seriously injured
but the boy soon recovered from the
shock and it is believed that he will'
suffer no permanent injury -

ever that Okemah looks as good to
him as it ever did
HAIR CAUGHT IN FAN
Saturday night Mrs Ab Dunagan
was drying her hair by the electric
fan when her hair became entangled
in the fan and she narrowly escaped
serious injury As it was she suffer-
ed a slight cut on the head but suc-
ceeded in turning off the current- be-
fore anything more serious occurred
Thomas A Whitfield of Antelope
Motana is visiting his father B S
Whitfield of Mason The Whitfields
will start next week for Arkansas
where they will look after some busi-
ness interests and visit friends
Thomas Whitfield says that the part
of Monana in which he has been is a
great country and that ther is lots of
free homestead land yet to be had

homa bearing date of the 3rd day of

and now in my hands that on the 20th
day of February A D 1917 in an ac-
tion then pending in said court where-
in George C Gray Guardian of Henry
Gray was plaintiff and O W Green
and others were defendants a personal
judgment was rendered in said court in
said action in
favor of said Plaintiff
and again! said Defendant for the sum
of Fleren Hundred Seventy-one and 24-
100 Dollars ($117125) debt bearing in-
terest at the rate of 10 per cent per an-
num from the date thereof and for the
sum of One Hundred and no-100 Dol-
lars 4$1 0000) attorney’s fee and cost
of suit taxed at Sixteen find 60-100 Pol-
lars ($1660) and which sums were de-
clared and adjudged by said court to
be a first mortagage lien on the real
estate therein and hereinafter de-
scribed and
WHEREAS It further appears that
it was further ordered by said court in
said action that an order of rale issue
out of said court directed to the sheriff
of said County of Okfuskee command-
ing him to advertise and sell said real
estate without appraisement or so
much thereof as may be necessary to
satisfy said judgment interest attor-
neys’ fees and costs of sale and all the
right title interest and equity 'of re-
demption of said O W Green arid Cora
Green In and to said property or any
part thereof as in case f sale of real
estate on execution without appraise-
