The New Home Ownership Act
passed by the last legislature pro-
vldee (or loaning to farmers
live upon thulr farms' to to exceed
$2000 and not to exceed one-half
of the value of the land' exclusive
of Improvements at S per cent In-
terest on an amortisation plan
which provides for ' a 4 per cent
semi annual paymont and this 4 per
cent semi-annual payment in twenty
years’ time pays all of the Interest
and principal
The law provide also that any

Track Meet held at Cherokee last
Friday Jet High School carried oft
third place In the meet "and also has
the honor of establishing a new
oounty record The meet was won
by the Cherokee High School which
has won all but ono of the nine an-
nual meets The total of point
sored this year by the contesting
schools is: Cherokee 66 Ingersoll
23 Jet 16 Byron 12 and Carmen
11 The fact tjiat this malces but
the second year for the participation
of’tbeJet athletes In euy form of
oounty contests makes the position
of the Jet High School more recog-
nised than otherwise
Cherokee’s main dependence was
the “All-Around’’ man Everett
Bradley who won six firsts five In
field events The fact that this ex-
cellent athlete contested In field
events' while the other representa-
tives of the various schools of the
county fought against each other ln
the racing events accounts for the
big lead In points that Cherokee
