Story Printed in South Amer-
ica About Secret Service
Is Denied.
(Hy t!nlvitral Hvli-e ) j
WASHINGTON July U- I in-
phatic denial was made at the j
state department today of the
story that the government came
into possession of the famous !
Zimmerman notes through the
use of a pretty girl secret agent
as a decoy. OffirnfTs described it
as "fantastic fiction."
The story itself was oiiginally
published in a recent issue of I. a
Sac ion of Iluenos Aires. It pur-
ported to tell how a German
woman was sent to the I'mted
States with a Hutch passport car-
rying conlidential information
ami instructions for von Fik-
li.rdt. then the German ambassa-
dor to Mexico.
American secret service men
discovered the plot it is narrated
but permitted the woman to pro-
reed to Laredo Tex. There she
was detained and an American
girl secret agent sent on in her
place. This girl proceeded to
Mexico and became secretary t
von Fckhardt. In this way the
Zimmerman papers fell into her
hands the story declares.

About 200 strands of these beads. They are fancy
beads so-called because of their novelty. They remain
from the tremendous stocks we have had sine the early
season. While the quantity is large one must keep in
mind that there has been and is an immense vogue for
beads. Time for Clearance. We have scarcely consid-
ered the former prices. The only consideration was
prices low enough to dispose of them immediately.
We have decided that 15c 29c 47c and 95c ought ' a do
