FLU EPIDEMIC
NOT YET OVER
Breaks Out-Anew From One
End of the Country to
the Other
Wanting to the country that the in
iluema epidemic is bv mi means !
etiilcil ami that all "ossitile precau
tions against the liseae should he
taken has just been isued by the pub-
lic health authorities at Washington.
I ate reports show that the diseasr
is breaking nut anew in its very worst
foim from practically one end of the
.oiintry to the other. Already there
kur been over JtKMltlO deaths from the
disease and one prominent health of-
luial predicts that thete will possibly
he 75tMKH) deaths in this country nrxt
vear from infltirnra and the ailments
which follow it. The disease has been
rrv baffling to the medical profes-
sion and health authorities frankly
admit that ordinary preventive meas
ures such as wearing of masks and
clos'iig public places seem of little
avail.
Persons who are weak and run-
down and who have not the strength
to throw off the inllurna grrm are
the earlirvt viititns. 1 hose who catch
colds easily or who are sufferitui
from catarrhal troubles are alto
early victims as the inflamed mucous
membrane linings of the note and
throat are an open door to the germi.
If you are suffering from anv of these
symptoms nothing vill build you up
and fortify your system against at-
tack like Y.inlac which contains the
most powerful tonic properties known
to siirmr. This statrmrnt is easily
proven bv the fact that this celebiated
mrdicine is now having the greatest
sale of any system tonic in the hittory
of medicine. It has been accomplish-
ing remarkable results during the
present epidemic and hundreds of
thousands who-have used it are enjoy-
ing the best of health. One promi-
nent physician in Texas frankly staled
that hr bad found Tanlac to be the
finest tonic to lie had for building tip
his patients who bad had influenia.
Actual experience has shown that
the best way to keep from taking in-
fluenza is to keep the system in good
shap as it is a well known fact that
tr . powers of resistance of the human
system can be so perfected that it can
throw off almost any infection not
evert excepting Spanish inftttenra.
which is one of the most contagious
diseases known.
Tanlac inrreases your strength anfl
weight and creates a good healthy ap-
petite for nourishing food. It keept
you physically fit and makes you
strong vigorous and well and in thit
way fortifies von against deadly dis-
ease germs. In connection wkh the
Tanlac treatment be sure to keep the
bowels upen by taking Tanlac I.axa-
tiie Tablets.
Tanlac is sold in Oklahoma City by
t' Westfnll Drim Co anil leading
ill mjgists and dealers even where.

"It was nothing at al'." he inter-
rupted almost curtly. "I'm oveijove!

tate to call upon me in any way and
if I hear of anything further I will
communicate with you at once
t. oi id by."
'1 he click of the receiver told me
that he bad left the telephone and
i"r a moment I wondered if I had of-
fended him in anv way. Tlirn I rral-
ti'd that long di.titue wires from
Washington were n.'t 1 1 be held long-
er than absolutely necessary in these
tunes of stress. I turned to Lillian.
"Dicky's alive. Lillian!" I said
hv Hern allv. "Do you hear? He's
ajive!"
The Reaction Comet.
She caught and held me close
pressing my fare into her shoulder.
