DKAR MRS. THOMPSON: While
visiting in another town our son
aged IH made the acquaintance of
a young lady. One week alter he cairu
home she followed right along and se-
cured work. Son played gallant faith
fully for six months. Kvrry Saturday
night they went to some show usually
the best; Sunday night to church: and
many times he went with her in the
middle of the week. Ssje to( seemed
quite attentive and came to our house
several times and called up by the tel
ephoue. She changed her work a good-
ly number of times so htat her hours
would time with his.
About five weeks ago she went home
and as yet has failed to write him a
line although he has written What
do you think cf such conduct? It is
ignorance or is it to let him know that
now she has got out of him all she can
she has just left? Should we as par
ents try to hinder his going with her
when she gets back? Or if nhr should
write should we try to persuade him to
give her up entirely? The atfair all
along has been very distasteful to us
We will thank vou if you can help us

She is ignorant or she would rralie

your ion will react on her by making
her hard and unloahle. Tell your son
(if she comes hack) that you think it
would be best for him to give her up

lause you rely upon his judgment. If
he thinks that you have confidence in
him he will he more apt to respect
