There is no more edifying in the worid than
pa down the street ot a find spring day, if you are
n Toaun. and riew the lines ot men who sit on the
benches and stand on the street corners, and who oc-
cupy themselves with discussing the metnods which
sbonid be used in congressional circles in order to
benefit the country, or toe proper way in which to cul-
tivate crops, and most interesting ot all the relatiTe
sphere tLat woman occupies in the scheme of existence.
These men. as a general thing, all tand firm m the
belief that "women s place is in the home," they think
it rather immodest for her to be seen apos the streets
too much and fear that Woman Suffrage woaM be too
degrading because the women who Toted wonid b* lik-

have important opinions on all subjects but on none
are they better post#d than upon the proper way m
which the women should behave. Their chivalry if like

right and Christian and noble is the civilisation which
allows such things, where the women are not protected

which their wives earn for them, where it is dangerous
for women to vote because these so-called men have
their mouths filled with such filthy words that a good

If the streets are no plsce for women to be it is such
men that make them so and if the world is too black for
women to venture into it is just such men who are re-

educated in decent chivalry toward all women, whenever
they can keep their mouths shut about every woman,
