ED T. KENNEDY Cashier
We respectfully call your attention to the above statement published under call of
the Comptroller of the Currency on July 15, 1908
This bank was organized eight years ago this month with a capital of $6,000. Du-
ring these eight years it has every year paid substantial dividends to its stock- ^
holders, increased its capital to $25,000 and built up a surplus and profit account
amounting to $15,897.63, besides at all times extending liberal accommodations
to its customers, even during times of great financial stress.
We wish to thank our many friends and patrons for the hearty support that has ^
^ enabled us to make this remarkable showing, and will endeavor to continue to ^
handle their business in such a manner as will merit their continued support.

"Mr. Bryan is proud of his record,"
says a democratic editor. We pre-
sume he has reference to his phono-
graph record:
Champ Clark thinks national con-
ventions can be improved in several
respects. Yes, you are right, Clark.
The democratic kind could make cam-
paigns more interesting by ceasing to
yell an hour and a half for a chronic
loser.
j? It seems that Bryan's veto on con-
tributions above $lo,ooo has thus tar
been strictly observed.

the "guardian of the democratic par-
