Caption: "Pushing Rapidly Ahead, workmen at the giant $35 million Western Electric Co. plant going up west of the city are aiming for a new deadline. Originally scheduled for completion by early 1960, the huge plant on Reno between West avenue and Council road is now due to be finished by April 1. General contractors Huber, Hunt & Nichols of Indianapolis have erected an impressive amount of steel since starting work early this year. This picture shows a corner of the western portion of the building, which will contain more than one million square feet of floor space."
