the peace terms, only to accept
such terms as the civilized na-

An Incident
Are We Sacrificing?
Blessed Ameican boys blown
to atoms, buried alive, crushed
and bleeding, blinded, blistered
Always have it in your heart
to be kind to your boys. An in-
cident in point. It seems but
yesterday that Ray Cox and
Fred Newby were two of the Yu-
kon boys in knee pants. They
had been down on the river fish-
ing and came thru Treadways
yard, tired and hungry. Mrs
Treadway came out with a good
generous half of a fresh lemon
pie, a quarter of a pie for each
boy. If ever two tired boys en-
joyed pie it then.—As they came
out into the road leading to town
one of our doctors came along in
a light buggy by himself, al-
though he knew both boys well,
instead of saying, "Jump in boys
and ride to town," he took out
the whip and squared himself to
whip them off if they attempted
to get on behind.
