of K1 He no desire to say to the
public, that on last Monday evening
we decided to go in a body to the
firm of W. F. Met Jrat h <fc Co. to talk
with them in a gentlemanly manner
about the closing hour,
Upon our arrival at the door, we
were refused admittance and ordored
away from their premises in a
manner we considered unbecoming
of any business man, but we are now
confident this action on their part
was due to the fact that they had
been erroneously informed that we
were going to usr forcible means to
close tiieir doors. Their report was
without Jany foundation whatever
and we desire to state that We have
no inclination now, and never had, to
use harsh means to accomplish our
purpose, which we honestly believe
to be right and just and for the best
interest of the employer, the em-
ployee and public.
The people have so far, through
the press and pulpit, as well as in
private, voiced the sentiment of our
move, and by their hearty support
we expect to win.
We wish to express our sincere
thanks to the press, the ministers
and the people for their support and
we earnestly solicit its continuance.
Very Respectfully,
