The Rock Island System is
taking a great deal of uains to
decide what they intend to locate
at El Reno- They have a larger
exchange of cars here than at
any other point west of Kansas
City: their traffic and business
demand a round-house and ex-
tensive shops. Any large peice
of repair work has to be taken to
Horton Kansas at the present
time this is expensive and unsat-
isfactory to them. This division
is too long but to short to divide
so some other changes will have
to be made to make this as impor
tant a point as the crossing here
demands that it should be. The
R. I. people are very much inter-
ested in the N. E. road and se-
cure every article published con-
cerning it; as soon as it is definat-
ely known what is to it. No doubt
the R. 1. will set "something do-
ing".
The bill could just as well have
been No 1 instead of No. 145,
but I have been waitingand wait-
ing for some suggestions from El
Reno on the bridge matter, rec
eivin suggestions. 1 have pre-
