"boan's Kidney Pills have proven of
great benefit to my husband. For
two vcars or more he was seriously
troubled bv his kidneys. The secre-
tions from these organs were t o
copious, frequent in action, then ag-
a'U just the reverse. His back be-
came so lame and painful thai he
was handicapped in doing hiis work
and on some occasions had to quit
for a time. As soon as he heard
about Doan's Kidney Pills, he pro-
cured a supply at rhe City Drug
Store and after using three boxes, he
was restored to good health. His
kidneys acted in a more normal man-
ner, the ipains vn his back disap-
peared and he felt in every way
l eared and he felt better in every
way. He is still using Doan's Kid-
ney Pills and steadily regaining his
lost strength and energy."

III It vow s
0 many were tae vows she made
I In days gone by; I'm half afraid
lo now recall them here,
1 wtll remember once she said.
"No ma is good enough to wed;
The be t man living here
I wouldn't marry. N(), siree!"
| .She didn't. She just married me.
I'd never darn a husband's socks.'
She said. "Such menial labor shocks,
Nor sew hiis buttons on;
pThink you that I would stay it home
To cook for him when 1 would roajn?
Such work 1 frown upon.
That kind of toil I'll never do."
She makes a splendid Irish stew.
• I don't like children, not at all.
I cannot bear to hear them squall
And dread a dirty face;
Their tJaible manners are all bad,
I'm sure I'd die if e'er I had
A child about the place."
And yet, my goodness, how s'he flies
Upstairs the lu'nute Ibaby cries.

The more the season advances the
clearer it becomes that no particu-
lar style predominates at the present
time and that none will predominate
for some time to come, at least not
during the coming summer. French
authorities on dress have taken
£heir ideas from i number of widely
separated periods and have so cle-
verly mingled them that the result
only may be considered and not the
exact period whence they came.. It
seems that women as a class will
no longer uccept freak sh and out-
landish styles, no matter who may-
have launched them. Styles must
be modified to suit tae more highly
refined and developed taste of the
individual and even then they are
accepted only in so far as they har-
monize with the Individual type.
Only women without taste and re-
finement will, nowadays, slavishly
follow a/n extreme and unbecoming
fashion simply because it happens to
be launched from some prominent
shop in Paris or elsewhere.
